Mark-My-Time Digital Bookmarker ??
Posted January 25th, 2007 in Geek Toys and Miscellaneous
Reading is great and I, myself, always have something nice and nerdy and about design or internet to read in my bag (and new Esquire and Vogue, of course!) but even since I was a kid, those ordinary paper bookmarks seemed to be missing something and now i know what exactly.
Mark-My-Time Digital Bookmarker is a very handy tool. Replacing the ordinary bookmarker made from paper, the digital marker has a clock with countdown timer and alarm in it. You need to set the time allotted for each session at the end of which the alarm goes off. It even features a cumulative timer, which stores time over multiple reading sessions until you choose to delete it. Waiting for the next-gen, with bluetooth and connection to del.icio.us.

This Apple-licensed dock has a transforming Optimus Prime up front, in iPod white that matches generation 1 model. In the back, the trailer folds, and transforms into a Pod dock. Get your preorder in before July when they ship. Does it makes proper sound while transforming I wonder? And yes, Megatrone iPod dock would be also great and, please, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles iPod speakers.

Internet Table Nokia N800 - ownage!
Posted January 19th, 2007 in Geek Toys, Media Players and PDAs![]()
This little silver internet-baby deserves every bit of your attention - N800 is sexier and glossy than its predecessor, the N770. It makes me wanna hold one in my hands - the 4.1-inch display is great, thanks to its 800 x 480 resolution, its symmetrical distribution of buttons and “instant-on” start up makes it a real dream-thing.
With its speedier CPU, 5 to 6 hours of battery live this internet table for sure will not cure your addiction, but who cares?
Knockman and his buddies
Posted December 28th, 2006 in Geek Toys and Miscellaneous
Knockman is a cute, little plastic knick-knack that pounds its head with its fist. Once wound up by pumping the other arm, Knockman’s fist starts pounding away. If you position another Knockman near by, you can even move the fist to pound on the second Knockman’s head. The smiles on their faces make them look happy while they are doing this!
Knockman has other buddies too. Kerotama is wound using the spring on top of his head, and a ball circles around him, creating a whoosh sound. ChaCha is wound the same way, although he has a mini-symbol that pounds when let go. Perhaps the coolest one is Pololon. His arm slides against three guitar-like strings that produce a cool sound. You can even tune the strings by opening an enclosure at the top of his head!
There’s also another one who’s name I’m almost afraid to say: Colon. He jiggles as chimes inside of him move back and forth creating a wind-chime sound.

i-Dog Welcomes I-CY Penguin to the Family
Posted December 27th, 2006 in Geek Toys
Now you’ve gone and done it, Hasbro. It’s just all downhill from here, now that you’ve launched the world’s awesomest and potentially most pointless audio accessory ever, the I-CY Penguin. A species of the I-Dog / I-Cat / I-Dog Pup / I-Fish family, the I-CY Penguin gets down with your music, and can communicate its moods through arbitrary musical riffs, flashing lights, movements and squawks. We know you want one, don’t even try and deny it, and at $19.99 when this thing launches in March ‘07, you shouldn’t have much trouble appeasing your I-CY lust.

Eavesdrop with the Spion Orbitor
Posted December 20th, 2006 in Geek Toys![]()
You’ve always suspected that your neighbor has been spreading rumors about your dog leaving its signature logs all over his lawn, but you can finally confirm it with the Spion Orbitor Electronic Listening Device. It might look like an alien ray gun to some, but the Spion Orbitor is actually a handy gadget that enables you to eavesdrop on conversations that are no further than 300 feet away. It is even capable of recording voice conversations up to 2 minutes’ long. The adjustable frequency controller helps eliminate background noise, while the built-in 10x spyglass helps you keep track of your target visually. Pick up this deliciously naughty gadget for $60.
