Symbian Smartphone Show today brought us the S60 Touch Interface presantation by Nokia. It accepts both types of input — with stilus, or just by finger. Also the press release is out, and you can find both the video and more data about the S60 software below the link.

  • Existing S60 3rd Edition apps will run on touch-enabled devices unmodified (but can be further enhanced);
  • generic proximity and light sensors supported;
  • a UI Accelerator Toolkit enables “impressive” graphical effects;
  • and Flash Video will be supported in the S60 web browser.

It’ll be at S60 device manufacturers “during 2008.” Looks like it was written by someone who has a bit more information than I had this morning.
